A fun-filled afternoon celebrating Japanese culture is promised at Newcourt Community Centre, Exeter, on Saturday 24 January 2026, drop in between 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

Taste Japanese Cakes – Enjoy sweet treats from Japanese cuisine
Craft Corner – Try your hand at origami, lantern-making, and calligraphy
Taiko Drumming – Feel the rhythm with hands-on drumming sessions
Japanese Sports Day Games – Fun and accessible physical activities
Marimo Moss Ball Pets – Learn about these adorable aquatic companions
More surprises to come! – Activities are being co-designed by students from Southbrook School, so expect some creative twists!
