SEND Reforms:

📊 Quick poll – parent carer confidence in the Individual Support Plans (ISPs)

Q15. What would provide assurance for families that an Individual Support Plan will be high-quality and contain the essential information?

Under the proposed SEND reforms, all children and young people with SEND would have an Individual Support Plan (ISP) created by their school or college. EHCPs would be retained for children and young people with the most complex needs. However their day-to-day care will be set out in an ISP rather than part of the EHCP.

❤️ Somewhat confident – but I’d want stronger checks and oversight
😢 Not very confident – I’d worry support or needs could be missed
😡 Not confident – I’d be concerned without stronger accountability or legal protections
