QoW Feedback

The biggest area of concern was EHCPs and Annual Reviews, with 40% of responses. But families also highlighted pressures around school or SEN Support, communication from services, and feeling confused or overwhelmed by the whole SEND process.

The comments added even more depth. Families spoke about:

  • feeling overwhelmed by the system
  • poor or non-existent communication
  • problems with EHCP assessments and provision
  • worries about Post-16 support, transport, and transition to adult services
  • anxiety about possible cuts or legal changes
  • the need for clearer advice, local support, and opportunities for connection

Overall, the message is clear: families are facing pressure across many parts of the SEND system, and many feel they are having to fight too hard for the right support.

Post 16. All support seems to disappear

Communication is currently non existent from the LA, even Ofsted have replied quicker

I am repeatedly hearing from families that no one is answering.

completely overwhelmed by the whole system

The system is working against our children and not for them! Like its meant to!

Barriers everywhere! In every service.

Tbh my biggest concern is the talk about cuts and law changes. We’ve finally got to a good place and I’m terrified of it being taken away.
